Hybrid battery

Packs repaired,
not just replaced.

Most traction batteries do not fail as a whole. We measure every module, show you which ones are dragging the pack down, and put the repair and the replacement side by side with the numbers behind each.

When to bring it in

A weak pack rarely dies overnight. These are the symptoms owners describe to us most often, and each one is measurable rather than a matter of opinion.

Hybrid warning light

The warning triangle, the red car icon, or a check engine light that returns after a reset. We read the stored codes and the pack data before touching a single module.

Fuel economy sliding

When the pack cannot hold charge, the engine does work the motor used to do. A car that gave 18 km/l and now gives 12 is telling you something you can measure.

Charge gauge swinging

Bars that run from full to empty and back within a couple of minutes usually mean one weak module, not a finished battery.

EV drive disappearing

The engine starts almost immediately, the car creeps in traffic on petrol, and the quiet glide at low speed is gone.

Battery fan working hard

A cooling fan that runs loud and constant means the pack is being pushed, or that its filter and duct are blocked with dust.

Assist fading on hills

Power drops away mid-climb and the car feels like a smaller engine than it is, usually alongside a fast-dropping charge gauge.

Battery repair

Two honest options,
both with the readings attached.

Final scope always depends on the inspection, so treat these as the usual shape of the work rather than a fixed package.

Module-level battery repair

We measure each module's capacity and internal resistance, replace the ones that fail, and rebalance the pack so the healthy modules are not carrying a weak neighbour.

Typically included

  • Pack state-of-health test, with capacity and resistance logged per module
  • Failed modules replaced with matched, tested units
  • Busbars cleaned, torqued to spec, insulation and isolation checked
  • Cooling fan, duct and filter cleaned so the new balance holds
  • Charge and discharge verification, then a road test before you collect it
  • Every serial number printed on your invoice
  • Warranty: 6 months or 16,000 km

Full pack replacement

When a pack is too far gone to rebalance, replacing it is the honest answer. You get the cost and the reasoning before the work starts, not after.

Typically included

  • Replacement pack fitted and verified, with tested units throughout
  • High-voltage isolation and safe shutdown procedure at every step
  • Fault memory cleared and system relearned after fitting
  • Old pack taken for recycling rather than left in your boot
  • Every serial number printed on your invoice
  • Warranty: 36 months or 80,000 km

How the job runs

Data first, parts after.

  • You describe the symptom and we log it, including when it happens and at what state of charge
  • Full-system scan: pack codes, cooling, inverter and engine data read together, because a battery complaint is not always the battery
  • Per-module measurement on the bench, so the weak modules are identified by number rather than by guess
  • Repair or replace, quoted side by side with the readings that support each
  • Verification run and a written summary you keep, serials included

Straight talk

When a repair is the wrong answer.

A rebuilt pack is excellent value on a battery with a few tired modules. It is a poor buy when the whole pack has aged evenly, and we will say so rather than sell you the cheaper job twice.

Evenly aged packs

If every module reads low, replacing two of them buys you months, not years. We show you the spread before you decide.

It is not always the battery

A failing inverter, a blocked cooling duct or a tired 12V battery can all imitate a dying pack. Diagnosis comes first for that reason.

Safety is not negotiable

High-voltage work follows isolation and shutdown procedure every time, on every car, whatever the queue looks like.

Not sure the pack is the problem? Start with a hybrid system diagnostic and we will tell you what the data says.

Bring it in.
We will tell you straight.

Call and describe the symptom, and we will tell you whether it needs a bay, a diagnostic, or nothing at all. Weekday service usually runs into the evening, often until 6:30 PM.
